Hi, I'm new to the Forum and new to Lightwave 3D v7.5.
I have been Learning Lightwave since Christmas 2002, when I bought a fast PC and the software, to help realise my dream of becomming a 3D Artis/Animator. I have been interested in 3D animation since the Amiga days of lightwave and even before that. I once used a 3D package called Real 3D and then Moved on to Imagine. I couldn't beliveve how a computer could create such realistic models and animations. I was hooked then and I still am.
I have been working on a simple animation for my eventual Show Reel. I have rigged up my character and positioned the Heel Nulls for my Pantomime Girraffe (Two sets of front Legs you see). My problems start when I go into the Graph editor and choose Offset Repeat. The Walk Cycle goes fine for a while, but then there is only what I can describe as slippage. The legs start going out of sink. I have tried adjusting the timming in the spread sheet editor to do avail. I measured the stride distance using two parented Nulls, but still the same problem.
There must be something obvious that I am doing wrong. If anyone has any ideas as to how I can solve this problem, then please reply.
I hope this forum becomes a valuable resourse for me.
Please excuse my spelling.
