hey. i was wondering if anyone has actually used this feature - the rendering time appears (i usually just get tired of waiting and abort) to be way long. i've tried to cheat by using linear and a few hypervoxels, but have yet to come up with anything satisfactory (i'm going for a fog on the moors look). are there any third party products that are faster? thanks.

Hello
There are a few things you could try:
1. Use Hypervoxel- sprites (if you arent already), they render faster and also are more suitable for fog than volumetric HVs.
2. Do it the way we did it in the early days: make a plane with a procedural in the transparency- channel (world- coordiantes), parent it to the camera and let that vibrate back and forth.
