Anyone know why i'm getting a out of memory error?

Simple scene, one displaced subpatch object.....
960x540 res....Picture inlcluded...

Changing the segment memory, and now i recieve
the error, "not enough memory for centre arrays"
It seems weird, it won't render in multimple segments
or at any resolution either......

Can't say i've seen that one before.

Perhaps too many programs running in the background. The more icons next to your clock the worse off you are. try right clicking on them and see which ones will allow you to disable or shut down.

Try different image formats for textures, and check you master plug-in list for anything you don't need. Check for anything out of the ordinary, try making your geometry flawless, no non-planars and such.

Trim down your scene until it renders, by turning off raytracing, removing plugins, render quickshade, etc. You should be able to find the problem that way.

If this happens with completely different scenes, maybe you have some bad ram or something -

Thanks, nah the workstation is dedicated to LW...
So only essential services are running... 16 or 17 processes.

Weird thing, the page file showed 1.4Gb in TM.
I believe i had used an Fprime preview window.
And it had instantly changed my pagefile usage from 250Mb to 1.4Gb..
But my physical memory still had 1.6GB free...
But LW did not seem to have any, i tried rendering at 160x160, still no good.

I don't know, i shut LW down and restarted and it fixed the problem..
I'll try and recreate and narrow it down, seems to be a bug....
There were no maps, only a simple flat subdpoly with displacment.

Thanks for the suggestions though.
