That's really cool!
The only thing that bothers me, to a small degree, is that the palm and wrist areas look really photoreal to me but the forearm itself seems a lot flatter and simpler. The tone seems slightly different too. Obviously that is not an issue in the second image.

I hope that if you're doing this kind of work, you'll eventually have a full body with this kind of transparency in some kind of pose. That would rock.
