Just like the topic says. Thought i would introdcue mysel in here. I have a PC and a MAC, and ever since I have gotten the mac (DUAL 1.0GHZ), the pc just sits in the corner of the room unplugged.


I do have a question though, hopefully someone can answer. Is it possible to have both machines doing the rendering, to cut down on the time. If so, how exactly would I go about doing it? I am not computer retarded at all, just a little bit MAC retarded:) Since I used to anti-mac until the g4 rolled around.

Actually I suppose I have another question also. Does lightwave 7.5(c) support Cg? Only reason I ask, is because I was thinking about getting a Quadro(sp) Fx card, and supposively it makes a pretty nice difference.

Scott, You can render with the PC and the Mac -- there are a few caveats.

1) you need to get Catalyst Productions "ScreamerNet Controller"
2) some 3rd party plug-ins (worley labs, for example) don't work

Those are the biggest things.

The Quadro FX card is not available for the Mac.

thank you for that help. the more help the better. But regardless if the FX is avail for the mac or not, does lightwave 7.5c support cg? Also I cant rmember, but does the Ti series have Cg benifits? More so, the 4600.

Also would anyone have a link to catalyst Productions website so i can see cost and some information? Thank you for your time.
