Hey guys, I've got two (related) questions to pose to you.
I've just been rendering out a Lightwave animation from AfterEffects and I noticed that it came out looking really dark. I can counteract this effect by using Levels on it with a gamma of about 1.2, but is this normal? (I'm using Indeo 5 compression) The strange thing is that on one of my machines it looks okay, and on the other one it doesn't. Even though the raw tga images from which the animation is built look identical on both machines. Also, it only goes dark when I save it as compressed.
The other issue is that on one of my machines (the one which the animation looks okay on) I get nice smooth animation and the option for full screen playback, while on the other I get slightly jerky playback and no option for full screen.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?
In summary...
Machine 1
(Slightly jerky playback, no fullscreen option, looks dark)
2GHz, 512Mb
Windows XP Professional
NVIDIA GForce2 MX
Media Player 8.00.00.4487
Machine 2
(Smooth playback, fullscreen option, looks fine)
1.26GHz, 512Mb
Windows XP Home
NVIDIA GForce2 MX
Media Player 8.00.00.4477
I've updated with the latest video drivers for Machine 1 with no difference. Any ideas guys?
Regards
Andy
