So THAT'S where you've been. Or one of the places.
Congratulations!
Is it viewable online?

Thank you.
Unfortunately, it's not online. The film is synched to a Gilbert & Sullivan song, the rights of which I have only for festivals (and only for this year.)

Cool, strikes a chord with me as my uncle (Ian Taylor) wrote a play called Tarantara. :)

Congradulations Colin,
Annecy is a really beautiful place to visit.
I went to the festival a number of years back and thought is was great. The selection of films they show are diverse and of a high standard, you must have done a really excellent job. :beerchug:

Thanks, everyone. I really appreciate the kind words. It's been a long, long struggle to get to this point.
Colkai, what was your uncle's play about? I'm curious.

Congrats on your acceptance!! If you cannot post a movie of the film, any chance of some stills?? I love seeing other peoples work, and this must be great to be accepted at Annecy, so would be cool to see!

Colkai, what was your uncle's play about? I'm curious.
It was all about the Gilbert and Sullivan. It was quiet successful I recall. Started off over here but made it's way around the world.
Found these links.

My Uncle has had quiet a few plays travel in the past but I think he's not as active in the field these days as I know he's had a lot of health problems over the last few years.

Congrats! Does that mean you'll be there?
At the moment there are 26 students from our school coming - Annecy seems to be our favourite festival. :D
If anyone wants to meet at the lake or in a café, I'd be more than happy (remembering to have missed a few of you guys there last year).
Greets.
Oliver.
BTW: There are 5 student films from our school playing. A LW short (a festival trailer) that was done by Moritz, Jan and me will run at the Electronic Theatre at Siggraph this year. Yippiiee!

Congratulations, Oliver!
I haven't decided definitively if I'll be going. The NPR symposium being run in conjunction with the festival makes it tempting, though.

I'm afraid it wouldn't make too much sense without the sound. It's not only the music, but the dialogue as well.
Just a little update: it just got accepted at Zagreb:
