I have just started some of the textures. There are image maps for the exhaust burns from the turbosuperchargers and some wing dirt. A cylindrical UV map for the yellow chin strips with some dirt/grease streaking. The rest is just plain old green (I sampled colors from photos of P-38s and typed in the RGB values), and some procedurals for the metal.
I still have a lot to do (diffusion, bump, etc mapping). Any hints?
