Motion Vector (PSD Buffer) Application???

i've been reviewing the PSD image buffer saver (the 8.5 one) and i came across the option for saving out the motion vector as a black and white image. i'm wondering how is this applied in post? i've been looking at combustion here and i cant think of a way to blur my image using the buffer image.

any hints, tips, or tricks would be appreciated. :)

I'm not sure its possible in Combustion as the App is geared for RPF files. Its not got very good PSD support sadly. Try using the G-buffer builder. There is an option for creating velocity so try to point it at the PSD layer.

Don't know if it will work, but might put you on the right track!

excellent idea using G-buffer. thanks for the advice. i'll experiment with it the moment i have time and i'll post back if i find anything useful. thanks again. :)
