I preferred the old audio level sliders over the knob. Slider > knobs, IMHO.

In previous versions of VT, didn't like the redundancy of having to to another level for pan settings, etc., but I liked going to the audio tab to quickly grab the master audio level for a given clip.

Now we have to click on the "+" sign to get to the rotary knob/numeric value entry. E.g., I just clicked on the "Audio Tab," therefore the implication is that I wanted to do something with the audio, why do I then have to click on the "+" symbol to open the audio edit properties? This is redundant.

:agree:

Sadly, that was one of the things lost when Newtek went to their control tree centric concept.

The audio sliders in the Edit Panel back in the older VT were the best way, IMHO.

I might also be more inclined to use the new EQ adjustments if they weren't all rotary knob/numeric entry style as well.

You're using the wrong controls. Use the controls in the sound field positioner panel for EQ and gain sliders.

Aha - Sliders live! Thanks Eugene. And, NewTek!

On my home system, I tend to use the Edit Props panel as I only have limited screen real estate on my single 19" screen. Being new to 4.6c, I hadn't even discoverd the new GUI until you pointed it out (cool!).

Having said that, I'd still rather have sliders in the Edit Properties panel.
