New stuff:
The garage with bedrooms above
the bumped out windows at the kitchen
The front porch
a family room at the rear of the house which you cant see

Still has some work to be done, trees, sky, background, reflection on glass, maybe some flowers or something to break up all those bushes that look the same.

Rendered in LW with AmbOcc, 9 directional lights set to light blue, one Area light set to yellow/orange

The design of the house looks great! The surfacing looks a little bland though, although I guess if it's a new house then you wouldn't want to dirty it up that much.

The grass could use some working on though - and add a nice sky backdrop.

Yeah we wont be making the house dirty :)

There is more to do like trees and sky, but the grass is pretty much done. The only thing I could add for the grass is 3d grass and I dont have a program for that.

Have you considered using LightWave for 3D grass?

Heh, I guess I havent :)

edit:
Hmm actually I did. I tried making quads with a vertical texture on it. It didnt make much difference at long distances. But this has closer grass.

Update

Still more to go, I want to add some plants and leaves on the ground.
I enlarged the grass texture from 1m to 2 m, so there is more texture to it. Just too tight at 1m.
I also dropped the saturation and increased the spec on the bushes.

Well, 3D grass or 2D grass, it looks fantastic as it is now.
Everything does, except maybe for the little dude. I never like the little dudes in a render. They always stand out from the image and pull focus away from the architecture. But, everybody uses the little dude, so maybe that's just me.
A fully 3D dude, now that would be groovy.

Thanks, will look beter in one more step.

Architects like little dudes because they give a scale to the image.
This little dude is 3D :) but its so far away you cant tell.

Excellent update. Nice trees as well - are they images mapped onto planars?

The grass looks better too :)

Thanks.

Yeah all the trees are images on quads from the Aatomik Green Collection 2. I got real lucky with that tree in front of the house. There is an existing tree right there and that image is almost perfect :)

All the bushes are 3D.

The one thing that bothers me about the way this site works is that when I view my image I get the image on the screen with a lot of bright white space that makes your eyes adjust to the white and alters the way an image looks. If it was gray it wouldnt impact an image as much. I post on an art site and they use a dark desaturated blue.
