Materials don't save - why?

How come when you save a model its materials don't save with it? Is this something that happens in every lw, or is just mine?

Are you saving your object or the scene? Cause materials only save with the object....

I know I got 1 surface it won't save for some reason. I am on porbably the 300th ver of my girl according to the save increment number, and it saves EVERYTHING I do to her (surface wise) EXCEPT, the reflection surfaces.

Everytime I load her, send her to layout, it says it can't find the reflections, but all other surfaces (about 20 ) load great.

In layout, do you press "save all objects" or just "save"?

All done in modeler like the other surfaces that are saved fine.

alright, I normaly texture in layout so if I create a material in layout all I do is file>save>save all objects? easy enough, thanks!
