:) Hello all,

this is our (my partner is silent for the moment) first WIP & we're creating a gothic graphic novel "Deadman's Curse", throwing around ideas and generally having a bit of fun doing it, while fleshing and de-fleshing out the characters and story/concept/etc

. . . may as well start with the 2 main characters, with the main part of the modelling done and some textures added . . .

Hebe: the Little Angel of Death, main undead character and serious side

and his companion Jix the Fox, also undead and cheeky side of the formula

Thankx :)

Well, I do most of the modelling & texturing at the moment. My partner is still learning and working on some of the other characters and scene objects (grave stones, fences, etc) He's doing more of the conceptual side (suggestions for look, lighting, second opnion on ideas, possible changes) and taking reference photographs. We're both coming up with ideas and personality for the characters as well as possible stories.

Will post more soon :D

Still working on Hebe. And setting up objects and elements for the first scene in the graphic novel. Nice to have a bit of variety to work on :D , and we thought the 1st scene would be a good way of testing out the lighting & look of the graphics.

Street Lamp for a scene set up: modelled, textured and rendered with (night)lighting. Not 100% happy with some of the rendered textures, although we're not going for a completetly photoreal look. Any comments/questions would be appreciated :)

Mmmm, been very busy and been naughty and not posted for quite a while :D

The project is comming along well. A lot more has been done and we're almost ready to set up the very first scene, now that most of the objects have been created for it and preceeding scenes.

Some of the graveyard scenery:

Almost have the first scene all set up and ready to go. A few more adjustments and a background image to be composited in. Now I can get back to finishing both Hebe and Jix the Fox so they can stand in the scene.

nice designs the only thing i can offer in the way of how to imporve it would be to add some taper, twists and bends to some of the props to add a bit of character to pull away from the mirrored perfection that 3d objects ususally turn out when your making them in a 3d app...add some deforms basically same with the characters break up the symetry on the faces.

Hi and thankx.

I've been working on the "asymetry" since I originally made these models, although I don't want get into the realms of exaggeration, wanting to keep them more as nature makes things :) Luckily, everything is still in an unfinalized state so I can fiddle with the props on the final edit.
