Need some help with single point HV's

I've got a bunch of single point poly's that fit the inside of a twisting tube. Is there a way to make the HV's appear one at a time on the point object so it appears to grow through the tube over time?

If you set the Emitter to a birthrate of "1" , Generated by to "Frame" and Nozzle to "Object-vertices" every frame one particle is created - in the order the points were created in modeler.
