Just seeing how close to the character I can get.

The hardest part of this model was getting consistent reference amterial. Every toy I looked at was significantly different from every other toy. And of course he is only in the movie for a few seconds.

Looks good.

You might want to check the smoothing angles. There seems to be a lot of smoothing of areas Like the gun and the head. If you lower the smoothing angle on the surface, you will see some edges and more detail.
Also, try playing with the metal surfaces and maybe reduce the diffuse levels to fall more in-line with metallic surfaces.

Wow that takes me back.
That was the very first Star Wars figure I had as a kid.
Can't wait to see how it evolves..
