Whassup y'all

Ive got a spline modeled car as an object but i havent patched it yet, i want to put the "wireframe" into a scene though to show where it will sit on a motorshow stand but it wont surface/render or do anything

i want to turn the splines to faces so they will render but i cant find a tool for it in lw 7.5

im aware i can place a point on the start of the spline and rail extrude but is there a way to just do it without much effort (kinda like points to polys or something like that)

Splines never render. They're sort of like nulls in that respect. To make them visible you'll have to freeze the spline and then you can use the line thickness attribute in the properties panel in Layout to have them show up. Of course, if you plan on patching your model, you'll want to make a copy of your splines in another layer before you freeze them.

yeah ive tried freezing them (both individually and all at the same time) but this draws a flat poly between the start and end points and so i cant use this

or am i doing something wrong here? can you leave a spline open if you freeze it?

I think if you search flay.com for a plugin splines to poly chains or somthing like that:) It will convert them to a chain of 2 point poly's and then you can use the lines in layout
