LW newbie here-- i have a model im working on, its sorta like a rabbit mixed with a goo creature-- anyways, i want to bend its ear so that its floppy and touching the ground (if there was one) ihave a picture posted of it without the ear bent (http://vbulletin.newtek.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4523)
I've tried the bend twist vortex tools but none of them give me the desired result-- any help would be appreciated thanks,

Take this with a pinch of salt as I'm a newbie as well, but maybe the reason the bend tool isn't working too well is that there aren't enough polys along the ear for it to work properly. Maybe if you knife the ear a few times it would work, or if you've tried the plugins without success you could rotate the ear manually by selecting the points you want to rotate and using the rotate tool.

Hope this helps

Dave

if its ment to be Static, try this method:

Knife the ear a few times upward

(====|=====|======)

then select all the pointsfrom the first knife line to the tip, and use the Rotate tool. do the same from the second (deselecting all
points first :-), etc, etc. Adding more Knife Lines when you need
them (or say your going to do it in SIX cuts, use Bandsaw/BandsawPro).
Do this in regular Polygon mode, BTW (well you dont have to but I think its easier) then tweek points/geometry afterward to get
it into a better shape.

does that make sense?

(maybe I could do some images if you need them)

AWESOME, thanks you really helped-- it worked out fine, i only really had to do three knifes to be able to get the result i wanted. but thanks for the advice-- the ything is i could have sworn the i had tried that before and it had come out all wrong-- all square like instead of smooth like i wanted it too, but i guess it had been something else that i had tried-- silly me ^_^
