View Full Version : Bones won't deform mesh ...
I have a mesh with bones but some of the bones won't deform the mesh. It also looks like the bones are resting outside of part of the mesh in Layout but they look perfect in Modeler.
Any ideas?

The bones have to be in the same layer as the mesh. If they're not, you have to go into the bones properties panel and use the use bones from such and such a layer at the top of the panel. You have converted your skelegons into bones in Layout, yes? And have you checked your skelegons from 2 or 3 different views in modeler to confirm that the bones are indeed inside the skin?

Also make sure that you have the deformation order set to last.
