So yesterday, during production, I had a DDR act as though it was muted, but as far as I can tell, it wasn't. My clips are AVIs, and I always run them off the same DDR. I didn't open the audio mixer, but I made some normal show setup changes (loading CGs, etc)... and then I saved the desktop configuration.
When I played the clip, there was no audio coming from it. It was clearly not muted. The only thing that made a difference was to simply "bump" the audio level on that DDR and then it became hot again.
I later rebooted, and reloaded that same desktop config, and same thing.
I am attached two screenshots.... first one is of the audio mixer when the DDR is acting "muted" and the second one after I simply adjust the audio level and then put it back (we are talking the slightest movement of the level!).
The DDR is labelled "Clips". All others are muted, as they contain no audio. Clips is being routed out the the back channels.
After making the change to the level and actually getting a signal, I was able to resave this desktop config. and it works as normal now.
Does anyone understand this? I can see no difference in anything here!
