USB dongle question ?

Hi guys !

I have one "wierd" question :).

No don't worry my dongle isn't broken :).

I have to many USB devices (Printer, Wacom tablet, mouse, keyboard, scanner, digital camera...) so i could use one free USB slot. And i would like to know will USB Dongle work behind USB HUB ???

The thing is that my monitor have USB HUB built in (iiyama VM pro 451) so i could stick dongle pretty easy without need to go under table behind big tower box :).

So will LW see USB dongle if is sticked to USB hub or over network ?? I also have one old machine where i have 2 empty USB slots (it's USB 1.1 version wich is much slower so i don't use it for main things).

Ok that's acctualy two questions :)

1. Will LW see duo dongle if is sticked to USB HUB ?
2. Will it work if is sticked to another machine but if is connected trough UTP crosover network cable ???

Uh... this may be a silly question but why don't you just try it? Either Layout will load in demo mode (it didn't work) or it won't (it did).

It will work on a hub. I don't think it will work on a network.

Wow you are fast with replyes :)

Aegis i understand you but problem is tha ti don't know now where i put USB cable for my monitor (it's been loong time since i saw it last time :)) and cable is little diferent than normal USB cabel. SO i can't set USB hub right now without finding or buying another cable so i tought why not ask before :).

And for trying network i admit i was been little lazy but maybe someone use it that way so i just asked before messing with installs. If is working i think tha ti need to instal at least sentinel drivers to beable to recognize USB Duo Dongle - right ?
