Hi All,
I looked over the MIDI-VT plugin located at: http://www.youngmonkey.ca/hands/restaurant/plugins/MIDI-VT/index.html and I am very interested about it, namely using it as a replacement for the RS-8. (I have been currently using my VT :vticon: system as an editor but will soon be getting into switching in a live setting and distributing over the web.)
Can this be used and emulate all of the functions that the RS-8 has? I'm mainly looking at it as a cost savings issue along with reducing desk space. I figure if I could pick up the plugin for $150 + the cost of a MIDI device, that would put me under the cost of the RS-8. Plus, I would pick up a lot of extra features (like audio control).
So....
1: can the plugin do this?
2: are there any midi devices out there with enough buttons, swithes, and sliders to do this? I did a few Google searches and mainly came up with musical keyboards or devices with all switch knobs and sliders (no buttons). Any suggestions?
