is anyone using a full version of mainconcept DVCpro50?

i downloaded a demo of the codec for experimenting and every footage, .rtv, uncompressed .avi, nt25, i convert to dvcpro50 stutters. it seems like a field order problem.

i've changed the field order in the "C"onfiguration window of the codec in the render panel. selecting "change field order" in either encode and decode pop-up window of mainconcept.

the problem also occurs when captureing beta footage.

i've tried the demo codec on two seperate NLEs (premiere pro & vegas) and i'm not getting this problem. but they're not loaded in my VT4 system.

someones got to know if this plug-in is compatible with VT4.

i think its great but, i don't want to buy a $300 codec if it's not compatible with VT.

I downloaded the FREE Matrox DVCPRO50 codec and it works pretty good on VT4.5

http://www.free-codecs.com/ACE_Mega_CoDecS_Pack_download.htm

Now I need to get FCP to read it without render.

How did you get it to work? I could never get VT 4.5 to recognize it on my machine

I also could never get a audio or video signal via firewire into the toaster from a DVC Pro 50 deck

Please beware of Mega Pack downloads... they have so many codes that will mess up the computers for you.... Find the original of what you are looking for, that way you get less error...

Just a note!

thanks

True. I deselected everything, then selected ONLY the DVCPRO50 codec.

thanks for the input everyone.

strange that DVCpro50 codec from mainconcept isn't compatible with VT4.5 :stumped: because there was a "ProDV" codec that came with the zipped file and that works fine.

i'm not sure what the difference is between the MC DV codec that comes with VT & PremierePro versus the MC ProDV. split screen both codecs and they look the same.
