Interesting Transparency Challenge with film strip. Help?

I hope I can post this image.
The issue is that this piece of film should cast an image on the ground. Making the surface a bit transparent (it's 25% now) clearly won't work. so how do I make a nice "projection shadow"?
This is an interesting one.

If you have "raytrace transparency" on and have a light that casts raytrace shadows it should work. It seems that your film has a thickness of several millimeters, but you need only a flat polygon.

Yes, the film has a thickness to it. I wanted it to be a little chunky. I will try as you suggest. maybe it'll work as is. If not I'll make it a single poly thick. Thanks
