View Full Version : Wrapped in latex...
Cos' I didn't model the clothes yet. ;)
Just testing a few poses to check where morphs will be needed...
Aren't gradients a cool thing ?

Dude this is awesome,
see I want to do organic modeling like that... too scared I guess, maybe a bit lazy, but that is great... I like the expression of the fingers in the middle image, they have a soft touch...they latex surfacing is neat the blue hylight is nice but the edges of the figures are a bit jagged.
even though, it would take years for me to do anything like that..

Thanks gp !
You're right about those jaggies. I was on low AA and it shows.
So, here's the center pose after a healthy dose of jaggies-be-gone (read : medium AA and render at 200% then reduce in PShop).
And don't be afraid to try organic modeling !
Go ahead and bite the bullet man. If you're like me your first models will suck, but when your character starts looking back at you, oh the joy.
Actually I thought modeling characters was hard... before I tried to animate'em. :)
Phil, waiting for the other renders to finish at 960x1280.

Flat that is a good looking shot Thanks, is that the Angelina head I have been seeing here and there? it is coming along nicely, awesome work. As far as me doing organics I will give it a go no doubt, maybe soon I will be able to do a cool job like that.
Peace
Yup ! It's her all right.
Still in need of a haircut though...

`S looking good! One thing that ahem, sticks out for me is the nipple placement. I haven`t watched one of Jolie`s flicks in a while, so I don`t know: they may be anatomically accurate, but aesthetically, you might try shifting them up on the breasts and a touch around to the sides, so they don`t point so perfectly forward. Because they`re sitting on curved rib cages, large breasts especially tend to be swung out to the sides of the trunk.
Cheers,
R

Add some hair and she will look like her in the new Tomb Raider.
Oh by the way nice model. How did you get the glossy look on the latex?

That is really great stuff!
Yeah, I can see the Jolie in her!;)
Great pose by the way, top pic, third one. I love it, especially the hands.
Jimzip:D
Thanks for your comments folks !
Rory, I'll have to revise the breast, I'm not really satisfied with how it looks too (but I *won't* give her siliconed gravity-defying boobs :D ).
Wiz : The surface is very simple, it's three gradients in incidence angle mode. Color goes from very light blue to deep blue to almost black, spec ranges from 125% at glancing angle to 35% at 45 degrees or so, down to 20% at right angle. Gloss is 35%. Reflection gradient starts at 75%, goes down to 20% at about 47° and 5% straight on. And there's also a ref map which is a render.
Jim, I just happened to have that Matrix DVD at hand when looking for poses. ;)
Phil, hesitating between polys and Saslite...
