No more image crashes!

In LW7.5 when loading an object, if the image assigned to a surface is not found and you are prompted to locate it, if you choose 'Cancel' or it fails to locate the image in the directory you choose, LW crashes.

In 5.6C - this didn't happen, it simply bypassed the image.

Running LW7.5 on Win98 or WinNT4 - I can crash LW consistently by doing this. Please fix this, the amount of re-boots I've had to do when loading moved objects is driving me ga-ga :(

I'm presuming other people can replicate this problem?

More or less, yup. :(
I get crashes when clicking Cancel.
If I choose Yes then Ok (without the image present) it doesn't crash but the scene is sometimes messed up.

Anybody else can confirm ?

What I can state is that if you load an object in Modeller and choose not to load an image LW cannot find, the model loads cleanly, so it is definitely a Layout problem.

I'd also suggest that it would be useful to be able to select a replacement image from a list of those already loaded rather than browsing the disk. When it comes to reflection mapping, this is especially useful as more often than not, you have the environment image loaded already and it is frustrating to keep having to go to the disk to "re-load" it.

This appears to have been fixed in 7.5b - haven't checked 7.5c yet.

That said, 7.5b had more bodies buried that made the update unattractive.
