Hello all, heres my daily question (it seems),- on certain models Im working on, if I tab out of subd mode then go back , some of the points stick in the poly mode and wont go back. How can I avoid this? Doesnt always happen. What exactly causes it?
TIA
kyle
It is possible that those polygons that were left out have more than 4 points each. Are you getting any warning messages when switching between subd/non-subd modes?

No messages. In this test there were no more than 4pointers that I know of. All I did was use extender + a few times. All in sub d mode. tab once, tab back, some points wont return. ever. thx for the reply Art

Make sure that you didn't just have some polys selected when you hit tab. Press W to see if some are faces & some are SubPatches. If they are, just select the + on the ones marked faces so just they are selected, and hit tab.
However. You say points, and not polys, so I do suspect that your problem lies elsewhere. Are you sure that you don't have any 2 point or > 4 point polys? Use w to check.
