What's the easiest way to apply a gradient in a linear fashion to an object?
For example, I have a rectangular cube (2m x, 6m y, 2m z) and I want a black to white gradient going vertically. From what I can tell I have to either use Y Distance from Pivot Point, or Y Distance from <Object>...but isn't there an easier way?
I'd imagine that I could just choose the axis I want, specify the size and the gradient would be applied easily (just like if you have a gradient image and apply it that way).
So have I just totally missed something obvious? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
-Justin
