Quick question for you guys:
I've recently discovered TB's Edge Bevel Shader (you know, the free one) that can be used to round out edges at the rendering stage rather than doing it geometrically. I really like it, but it seems to add what can amount to a considerable increase in render times per frame.
I saw that there appears to be a similar product called 'EdgeFX' by Happy Digital. I'm wondering for those of you whom have tried both products... is EdgeFX considerable faster at doing the same thing? Would it be worth the purchase? I strictly want it for micro-beveling cases. Even though I like what TB's Edge Bevel Shader can do, I'm just wondering whether or not EdgeFX can do so faster? Oh!, and whether it works without problems in LW 8.x, which is what I have.
Any comments greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
