Well, I've been working on this one for a couple of days. Trust me it's not the easiest thing to make, but I managed to start and get going on it. There is one thing that is wrong so I'll point it out right away. The logo is too small. Not by much, but enough. I still have the front and the back (ports and all) to do. Then the keyboard (that'll be the next WIP thread).
Anyway, it's in your keyboard to let me know what you think.

I'm doing the exact same thing, so is another guy on the forums.. I know how hard it is to get it right, you're doing well, you've got the shape right, and I gotta' say, those dark grey bits (where the drive doors and the speaker will go), are really hard to model. They've got some funky design elements happening there.
Anyway, it's looking good, post the finished pic when you get there!

Looks like you need to raise your anti-alias settings to medium or higher if your only using low.

Actually it is on medium, but I'm using a radiosity cheat and don't have dithered on. I normally use high. The next post will correct it.

here's another version....
I think you've got the shape, textures and reflections right. The logo should also have a slight convexity to it (as I am looking at mine right now).

Yeah your right. I will try to "pop" it out a bit more. It is pretty curved already, but it doesn't show up right in this render. Glad you didn't say the logo is too small.
