The surface treatment looks really great.
Are there some gradients in the diffuse channel? I enjoy the smoky
high lighting, color, and key lighting.
I would prefer more light (from upper fixture) to spill more on the
background and stronger composition. Suggest like a 720x486 or
320x240 frame up.
This image feels like the elements are floating in this frame some.
The exception, is the robot's weight sagging the chain
that really works. I'd like to see a motion test with that secondary
weight along a distance.
I like what you've got here so far.
Keep on it.

Looks kind of cool, but way too dark.

yeah I does look kind of dark. It is a little bit brighter on my desktop but I agree that It needs better lighting. For right now I am not animating this but i will most likely in the future. I dont have a background. I wanted it to have the feeling of space or nothing as if this chain continues on for a great distance with nothing around as if hanging in an abyss or somthing. Thanx for the input.
keep on keepin on.

sorry, i forgot. The gradients i am unsure of. I am mostly experienced in modeling and know very little about surface and texture. The surface is the default preset gold surface(although i did do some tweaking).
thanx

I love the model. Very nice detal, and the chain is very well done. I do agree however that it needs some work composition wise.
also, it seems to me that the yellow light should have some white spots towards the center..

yeah I am having more trouble with this one. I just cant seem to achieve the abysss feel i am lookin for. I dont want a background on this one i want the bot to hang in space on the chain it travels upon. If you check out my last post i explan it a litle more.i dont know.
thanx
