correcting text?

Hi all, I am fairly new to Lightwave and am using V8.5.

My question is. I have been creating some quite complex extruded text with spline guides and bevels etc but, how do I go about changing text, maybe adding in a letter or correctiing spelling without creating a whole new object and having to go through all of the edits?

Just grab your letters after the letter you want to insert and move them. The add your letter inbetween.... or is there more to this than meets the eye?
