It would be very cool if LW9 would be able to import and export camera data with packages like After Effects. What do you guys and gals think?

Yes, it would be nice to have it integrated, but there's no need to wait if you need it now. monovich posted a great rundown of his successful use of POIcam here:

There are a set of commercially available Lscripts,
from Al Street http://www.ats-3d.com/

Transmotion, will output/import camera data, for most compositing applications. And yes i think it would be a great buy-in plugin to add to LW9.

I believe their is another free plugin for DF.....

I purchased the Transmotion / POIcam script set of ats-3d
few days ago and can do nothing else than advising you to do the same,
it's quite cheap and so usefull I wonder how I did not
to buy it before.
The only limitation is the lack of automatic motion blur
in AFX due to the fact that you have to bake your
camera's position / rotation before exporting to AFX.

The good point - that people sometimes may forget - is
that you can set your 3D compositing (plans, lights, texts…)
in AFX and change your 3D camera dynamically if by
chance you have to re-render your 3D movie with another
camera path : just replace the position / rotation values
by the new ones in AFX and everything will be updated.
Very cool script.
