Thanks for any comments.
Your new at Vue?
Yeah, this is the first attempt at anything other than just playing with the software.
On with the next one...

The only thing you needed was a little vibration with the bike or camera.
Just wondering was that rendered in LW or Vue?

The backgrounds were rendered with vue and then imported to lightwave as a backdrop to match up the lighting. Although I had to tweak the colour correction in the final comp. There is a subtle camera shake, although I think it was lost when the movie was scaled down. Maybe I need to ramp it up a bit!

Nice integration, looks good. I think your dust needs a touch of gravity, so it settles instead of just fading...

Be quite interested to learn exactly what steps you took...

There are quite a few steps involved, but the short version is: -
1. Set up camera and object animation in Lightwave
2. Used the Vue plugin to sync camera and lights (Tip: you can only sync the camera and lights with this plugin, so if you want a target object, use a zero'd point light parented to your object in LW.)
3. In vue, created required backgrounds, sync'd camera's and lights - rendered from sync'd camera
4. Imported rendered background to lightwave
5. Tweaked lighting, object positions and add shadows etc..
6. Rendered out! (I rendered the elements seperatly to composite later)
Hope the workflow helps. I was thinking of putting together a full tutorial if anyone thinks it might be useful and when time allows!

I'd really love to see a tutorial on that, if you would be prepared to do one - thats very generous!
I really like the way you have integrated the two programs in what seems like a simple and effective method. I'm not big on Vue, but you've given me a few ideas there on how I could find it quite useful.
I'd also like to know how you composited the separated rendered sequences too
