If I use chop in capture, do I loose frames?

I have not checked with VT4, but with VT3 you would lose 1 sometimes 2.

Yes..........
Just like jim says, plan a cutaway or something for a chop you loose 3 or so frames.

And be very very careful not to hit "reset". I did a show the other week and accidentally hit reset. Thank goodness for tape backup.
Just a thought, but I would love to see the reset button moved to a much safer place on the next upgrade. During a live switch things can get hectic and it's easy to hit the wrong thing.

If it helps, 'Backspace' key CHOPS. But of course, the dangerously close to backspace key 'Delete' resets.
I've been trying to teach myself skinning, this sounds like a good experiment.
