Hi guys, This is my first real attempt at creating something with lightwave, aside from making a few test renders of simple models like mugs and crap like that...

This project was inspired by those aero racers that Craig posted a while back... It's a racer that is designed to live and do its business 5 to 10 feet above the surface of water, where it makes use of leading edge vortices and ground effect in order to haul ***.

The body/fuselage/hull was modeled using splines, the rest was box modeled.

I'm fairly happy with the model, so unless you can see any big problems, i'll probably be to lazy to go back and fix minor things. I'm more interested in getting some feedback and advice on the surfacing and rendering..

Here ya go.

Hey, great looking model. Looks good. One thing though, next time either A) post links or B) don't post as many views. People with 56k, would rather not have to wait a year, while the pictures try to load. Anyway, keep up the good work ;) Later.

Seems a bit TOO flat for me. I just think the cockpit bulge would be more pronounced. Think, where's the poor pilot gonna put his legs and feet?

It gives the impression of a single-seater, so I'd expect more depth. Have you tried scaling and placing a human figure in there? (Say, one from the LW content CD, or a poser import?) That would give you a feel for the spacing.

Hi !

The thing that holds the jetengines seems a bit weak 2 me... might wanna buff them up a bit.. or maby bake the engines into the body of the plane..

..other than that i tink it looks great !

well just a thought...
