View Full Version : WD, eye help...

hey...i dunno if any of yall remember the great animated movie "Watership Down"....or the book....but last night while falling asleep i decided to make several of the hares from it. this just took a little less then half an hour (pretty good time for me) and ive been expermimenting with how to do the eyes, but cant figure out a good way....critiques and tips would be most accepted

well i would just smooth shift the eyes in the spot where it looks like the eyes should go. I am just learning how to model, so I am sure there are many other ways you could go about it.

OH WOW! I loved that film! I saw it when quite young, and went out and read the book... four times. Great commentary on the political and social elements in society. I assume that's Hazel in you sig pic. I saw it in one of your replies and then I found this thread.

How's the model going?

Howdy!

Yep, a great movie. One of my favorites.
Good start on your Hazel model, looking pretty good.

I usually start around the eye area, but in this case I just grabbed a poly in the desired area and started beveling.
After shifting points here, adding polys there, this is what I came up with. Still needs loads of tweaking, but you are welcome to this geometry if you want it.
