Okay okay i know that was a cheesy subject just in a good mood. Well since nobody really told me if my last thread was getting a bit large I decided to make this new thread to show what I've been working on. And now for some renders.

Okay last one
I like the head. Reminds me of some pre-roman masks.
The body is flat, but if you're after an antique statue look it's ok.
...
After looking more at your model I have the feeling you may be better choosing a side : either you go for the stylistic, to hell with realism approach and in that case some muscles are too pronounced imho (particularly in the back), or you choose the "realistic" (well, kinda :p ) approach and then you have to work on the muscles and make his body much rounder. Might depend on what you want to do with him too.
Keep us posted, I'd like to see how he evolves.
...And welcome to the lightly commented group ! :D
Phil, who should work on his model.

hmmmm.....
yeah I agree he is kinda in the middle of being realistic and stylistic. Well I really wanted him to be stylistically reall. :D Heh, well I will see what I can come up with. I'll really tweak him out and see if something interesting comes out of it. Woohoo I love 3D you can completely screw your model up and still have a backup to come back to.:p Oh and thanks for the post.
 lightly commented group:rolleyes: nice

awesome. I like where this is going man. He looks like something you would see in a killer game or animation short.

Okay tweeked him up a little bit also changed some proportions. Will post the updates when I get home from work. Honestly only two replies for my first attempt at lightwave. Sheesh I know Flat said the lightly commented group but this is ridiculous at least tell me if this isn't good enough for a reply, or this is just okay, and ideas on how to improve. I don't really care rip it apart I am strong enough, I can handle it. If you hate it let me know, if you like it let me know, or not I suppose.
It is late and I am b****ing.
...Hey Grood, how 'bout a picture ? :D

I think the character is coming along ok. You need to pay attention to proper flow.

Well I decided that the body didn't fit the char at all and wasn't what i was going for. So of course I started working on changing the head. And now I have two characters that I am working on. Well here are the characters that have emerged from this project so far. The original head with a new body. And the old body with a new head. I create so much extra work for myself.

I think its looking better then before. The shoulders/pecs look better. Since I dont know what style or look youre shooting for its hard to really critique it. I would work a bit more on the ribs/abs...tone it down some.

SplineGod- thanks for replying I really like your work and used that reference picture quite alot to help me work on the flow of things. I am still working on it but it is deffenitly looking better, at least to me.
Sorry i didn't really explain what I was going for. The guy with the horns I want him to be more on the lean, almost bony side. He is supposed to be more of a sage or sorcerer type character. The new guy I want him to be the big strong companion, hero type. I don't want them to resemble humans exactly, but I believe that some human reference lends a bit more realism to these characters.
