HELP' my dongle is DEAD!.........

Strange thing but my old Aura 1.0 dongle just dead today!

Have tested it on 3 different computer and the same
error each time I run Aura 1.0, 2.0, 2.5 and 2.5b
"The AURA dongle is not present on the (parallel/USB port)"

So 5+ years with a legal version of Aura I'm stuck with a
demo version...

Sometime it so "easy" to turn to a dodge version of a software...

have you tried updating to the latest Rainbow drivers?

My dongle, from Aura 1, (now Aura 2.5b) was acting funny as well, sometimes it wouldnt be detected, sometimes it would be - turns out, after downloading the newest rainbow drivers, and parallell port settings, I came to find that it was my Epson 880 printer - when its hooked up, somehow it conflicts with the dongle... What else do you have on your parallell port? also, doesnt Newtek sell USB dongles, trade in your old one? - Evar

Yes' did update to the latest rainbow drivers but no avail,
same error.
btw. I've also got a another dongle hooked up the parallel port,
it work just fine.

My dongle up and died a few months ago as well. Had a LW dongle attached as well, LW worked fine, Aura (2.5) nothing.

Call Newtek, don't email and get a RMA number, they'll fix or replace it for you.
Mine was totally dead they told me. Just be prepared for the "don't use the dongle for a pass thru for your printer" (which I wasn't) lecture. I think I had my replacement in less that two weeks.

Seems they just spontaniously pack it in sometimes.

Make sure you air mail it.
If you let newtek send it ground youre gonna regret it.
It took almost six days for mine to go 750 miles.
