Hey, y'all.

Have a look at this living space. It was originally intended for use in an animated video I've been working on for about three years, but you know how that kind of project goes... Thought I'd throw up a few renders for C+C. Note that the heavy shadows massed around the corners are intended to engender a claustrophobic response in viewers.

Lemme know what you think.

WOWSERS TROUSERS!!!

This is SO good blackglove. It has the perfect feeling of a manky apartment/house/bedsit.

How long did this actual image, including modelling and rendering, take you? This is one of my most fave pieces of architectural kinda stuff i've seen for a while. I think it's the fact that it's so run down, and looks pretty darn real!

Now, i hope you carry on with the video coz i wanna see it!

Awesome!!!
What a wonderful use of / lack of light. Very moody and realistic. This has lots of character. Can we see a wireframe of this? Love it.

Thanks, guys. It's great to hear things like that.

I actually do have an animated version of this room, and a 2 minute comic sequence for the movie itself (done in an anime style). My most recent stuff, which I tried (in a rather pathetic failure of nerve) to introduce secondhand to this board a few months ago, can be found at bodybouncer.com. The video demo has been downloaded over 3 million times, mostly internationally. Warning, though; very X-rated in nature--not for young people! The original thread was deleted, it looks like, though I'm not sure why, as I've seen other references to adult sites in here. (moderator; If that's the problem, just let me know, and I'll yank this reference)

I'll attach a wireframe of Sonny's apartment to this reply and maybe drum up mini versions of the anime and apartment animations.

Thanks,

Dan

Lardbros; I've been working, more or less full time, on a personal 3D project for about three years. Sonny's apartment probably took me about 100 hours or so to put together, and my first high-detail character mesh took me maybe 500 hours.

Thanks for posting the wireframe.....again awesome. The lighting is superb....I hope you don't mind but I took your pics and "brighten" then to show how the mood is destroyed....in other words I de-moodified them.... Great lighting. Thanks.
