Here's a title sequence I'm working on at the moment, just a self promo ID for my website. Would like to get some feedback on ideas to make it better.

my only issue is that the end letters are hard to read.

I'd tend to agree, (I thought it read as FUTURE not SUTURE in the image you posted). Overall I like the design, the pan does make the title clearer but the secondary lighting only emphasises the central characters. Slightly picking-out/defining the end letters would make it a bit more legible.

I'd say use a lot more particles than you're currently using, to try to break up the flames/smoke. It's easy to pick out individual particles at this point, if you need some advice on making some good looking flame etc, just ask and I or someone else would probably be willing to post some presets.

Thanks for the replys, any help with presets would be great. I've added some point lights to make the text more legible. Working on the smoke and flames as we speak.

Here's a new test using the new Flash 8 Video Encoder (A stand alone APP). The file size is about 480k and using the On2 VP6 Codec, Looks clean to me :) Requires Flash Player 8

Haven't tested the Sorenson Spark option yet.

Just added a small update, using higher AA to get rid of artifacts in the red volumetric lighting and started to add some detail to the background of the second pass. It's still a bit dark though.

get a targa sequance (if the logo moves or smt) without volumetric light and use shine in after effects it'll take seconds with more control.

The logo its self looks good :) but volumatic light in the background just does not really match the overall look.

Check out my website I did couple of logos.

Yeah I get the feeling that this could be done a whole lot quick in post.

I've just uploaded an update, hopefully easier to read. I'm still not happy with the smoke, will try to get that sorted next.

It's the curvature of the type that fades the S and the E. The difference in the perceived extrusion of those letters also confuse. I would cheat the lighting (add luminance) or the shape (extrude less on the outside).
