Interactive Timeline Snap Distance in VT-Edit 4.5

My request is that the Timeline Snap feature in VT-Edit 4.5 be activated only when I hold down the Shift key, or the s key, or whatever key.

Imagine dragging a clip freely and then holding down a key and the clip snaps to the nearest timeline marker or next/previous clip, using whatever Timeline Snap Distance we have set in the Preferences. But it only does this when we hold down the key. The rest of the time it is free.

I'd go a step further - and let the preferences set whether it is on or off by default, and then let the s key toggle that.

i.e.: Set it on, and you snap all the time, press S and you stop snapping. Set it off, and you only snap when pressing S.
