What would be the recommended way to quickly create a bunch of good looking tentacles that link this girl's arms to the jet exhaust? (see attached concept sketch)

I've tried a coupla techniques, not too impressed with the results. Because there are a lot of them and they are random, I'm trying to avoid doing each one manually, not so much because I'm scared of the point pushing, but more because I'm not too good at doing random.

Thoughts? Ideas? Otherwise I'll just push it through manually.

magic bevel would probably be the fastest way.

With bevel you can create rather precise bevels for whatever you need.

Magic bevel will give you a handle for each plane which you can grab in any viewport and just pull away from the plane. This will give you good but not exactely predictable results.

Have you thought about rail extrude (or was it rail bevel?, try...)?

BNA. Yes, I've never used rail extrude in the past, so I discovered it rather recently. And rail extrude was the best way I found. Magic bevel was just too uncontrollable.
