Problems in Layout

Ok, I noticed that if it is just 1 layer everything is fine but when I load an object that has like 4 layers than layout slows down to a halt.

Someone suggested my GC which is a ATI Radeon 7500 may be the problem. What kind of GC is best for lightwave?

Well, the fact that you have 4 layers itself shouldn't be the problem, it's the complexity of the scene, probably the number of polygons in it. You are running a laptop, right? Don't think you will be able to swap the card out...
