I am an airbrush illustrator by trade and I still have much to learn about the basic properties of lightwave but I have been playing around with light wave for about 6 months or so but this was my first try at anythig serious! My client loved it. How and where can I improve? (Not sure if I got the attachment thing right, Sorry if it does not work this is my first time posting as well!)

I would start by adding shadows and not putting the key light behind the camera.

Most of the objects don't look like they have anything more than a basic color...I'd start by adding some textures...or if you wanna keep it simple colors, I agree with the lighting comment before. Also, why did your client want it 3D if you are an airbrush illustrator? :)

Ok those are some great suggestions. I will work on those! And I am not sure why my client wanted these in 3D I am also not sure why I accepted the job to do them in 3D!

it doesn't look like anti-aliasing is on. you'll want to turn that on for the final.
