Model looks great! I'm curious, though, you said you modeled it in Modo and Modeler... which did you start in, and what made you switch to the other one...?

90% Modo 10% Modeler due to the easier selection tools. It safed me a lot of time in model. I have this will not offend anyone. Modeler helped to organize and setup the model for posting in Layout, no bone only pivot joints. (I'm not good in character setup)
I planned to do the details but didnot do much of them because Ias usual having lots of energy at beginning and lesser and lesser when time passed.
DM67, I love you Gundam too. It's very detailed. I will wait for the final one or it could be great if you can model MK2. Cheer to Gundam lovers!

Woah! That's awesome. Although I wonder how you setup the character. To animate. Do you use bones, or what is it that you do? I am curious to the method, because I am modelling my own highpoly mech. I am planning on animating it, but don't know how I should do it. I've never tried doing such a thing on a robot or a character.

That model is very nicely done. How much of it uses subpatches? It looks 90% polygons to me.

Maybe more than 90% are polygons. I use subpatch only at the tubes as you can see dark, dense wireframe.
There is no bone in this model. I'm not good at it. I modeled at simple post as seen in Modo shot and setup each part into diferent layers, object files, ie body.lwo, rightleg, lwo. Because I didn't intend to do animation with this model, I set pivots point of each object in each layer to the rotating pint/axis such as shoulder, arm, lower arm and parent them to bigger part. (head was perented to body, upper arm was parented to shoulder and shoulder was parented to body.
Thanks for C&C

Woaha! Thanks very much for that. This clears things up for me. I am wanting to do a little 'movie' for mine, but I am also trying to work towards a deadline for something. And I want the mech to be in a pose. So I guess I could do it like that too and properly give it bones or whatever at a later stage. No hurry for that.
Awesome model and thanks again.
