Hi, here's my newest render of a girl in quite an old place.

There still is some work in progress here, but I'm close to being finished!

Hope you like it, and suggestions are always welcome!

Greetz from Holland!

Nice model, and nice image. the texturing is welll done, especially on her body (around the neck and upper chest). it could just be me, but it doesn't appear that there are any shadows being cast by the girl on the wall that she is leaning against...it kinda makes it look as though she is just composited on to it rather than be in the scene. anyways, i like what you have here and i like the pose that she is in, you really get the idea that she is waiting for or thinking about something....good work.

**** near photoreal there!

Little things like the fingers and the elboes are somehow not perfect. Could tell exactly what. I think with the elboes, it is the joint bend is deforming oddly.

Anyhow, don't take me wrong with the above comments. She is beautiful and the scene is a true work of art. As written above, it truly communicates an emotion, makes you wonder what she's thinking about and that is more important than any minor technical issues.

Good Job!

Edit: Wow! I can't say, "****!" And, being a New Yorker (moved to LA), I could have said a whole lot worse.

It's not quite photoreal (is it supposed to be?), but it's a really great render. The style is consistant and natural. The expression and pose is nicely done. And btw - she's thinking about me.

I don't really know if I ment it to be photoreel.. I think I did, but in the end it didn't matter anymore if it could be photoreel. If you ask me, I like the image as it is now, and I shouldn't go to photoreel... (do you still get it?)

She is not composited into the image, the image is a clean render from Lightwave with a little color correction in Photoshop. I didn't like to do a dark shadow on the wall, I like it bright! I had to do a lot to get rid of all the nasty shadows. :)

David... she's NOT thinking of you! :D

Greetz,

She is lovely; I agree about the nice detail around the clavicle. My only tweak would be to bring her eyebrows down a bit. (As a chick, let me say we are earnestly concerned with brows and try to avoid looking "surprised" at all times.) Other than that, I wish I looked as good. Oh yeah, I do...

I really like this last render a lot, nice improvements, nothing overdone. good work.

Well, I've known a lot of girls (and women) whose eyebrows were like that, and they indeed looked permanently surprised (tip for you women out there - don't shave them off and draw them on, they really do look fake).

Anywho, this is an incredible image! I like the second one a lot better, with the shadow on the wall and the accessories. Looks like you were on vacation somewhere romantic and did an impromptu photo shoot on location.

Is this based on any specific real location, by the way? I imagine Tuscany, but having never been there, I wouldn't claim to know.

Gallery-worthy image! Excellent.

I can't remember talking to a single man who preferred shaved-off-and-then-drawn-on eyebrows. Most seem to prefer the real thing. So, seriously, what's up with that?

Great image.

Mebek,

The inspiration indeed came from (various) places in Toscane. It doesn't resemble an exact location, it's my own intrepetation of a village corner.

And for the shaved eyebrows... well, They are not shaved, but they are drawn on ;)

Don't change her, she reminds me of my favorite actress "Sylvia Saint". I really like the second one better as well. Did you use bloom for that soft touch?

Nice girl, especially eyes. They look very smart.
I think if use "Sas Lite" the girl will be more realistic.

I always have trouble creating nice hair curves with sasquatch. Polygonhair is much easier to control. I'd like to, but I'm not satisfied on how SAS works.
