I have made a dome object by cutting a sphere in half but i cant figure out how to get it thicker rather than being a thin polygon. Sorry for the noob question but i've tried extruding but it dosent seem to turn out right.

There are a few ways to do this but a quick method is with smooth shift as shown below.

Sorry I forget where this comes from.
This is a handy tool that works for some things like a dome. Though I do like the smooth shift idea.

The Thickener does the flip-smooth shift-merge thing, but it does it way faster. I rather like it, because it makes it very easy to add thickness to things.
