Hello,
I have a problem relating to Poser Pro's output scenes and LW's motion designer.
I would like to be able to use motion designer to add cloth movement to either clothing attached to the figure (imported within the poser scene), or add loose clothing (eg, a cape) to the basic poser figure once in Lightwave.
I have tried these combinations every which way but the cloth just ends up in a split tangled mess.
Any Ideas?

T-Light,
Welcome to the world of the unexpected:
if you imported the poser animation with the cape and the character(and other clothes)with the Pro Pack plugin, go back and save the cape as a mesh at frame 0 of the animation in Poser, and save the animation in Poser without the cape.
After importing the poser file in LW with pro pack, load the cape object. Make the char a collision object and the cape a target object. Be sure the mesh density of the cape is denser then the relative density of the character, otherwise there will be errors. Also be sure that on frame 0, the cape's vertices are NOT penetrating the character, since there will be initialisation errors. Play with skin thickness and skin resolution. Also be prepared for long calc.times since the Poser models and the resulting denser cape are in no way optimal models. Try using both objects as one-sided and without self-collision: in this case many errors can be prevented by making normals oppose each other !!!
Don't expect perfect animation. I tired every out of the box char.solution and in the end I'm modeling and animating everything by hand. I will be evaluating Kaydara's Motionbuilder PLE in comb.with LW shortly, but I wonder if this will make things easier for me at this moment !!
Good luck
