I have had things like this happening lately. Sometimes LW messing things up a bit. Now I think the same thing happened to me today.

One thing to check is go through all of your wieghtmaps - if you are using any - and check to make sure that they are all still assinged to the bones.

I had a similar picture this morning. What happened was a weightmap that I removed the values from dissapeard in modeler. I had to recreate the map and reassign it. Problem solved - just one map!

Also check trough the settings of ALL of your bones and make sure they are still exact. Things such as "use weightmaps only" etc. They must be consstant throughout or the whole works will go to h...

And lastly make sure you are at or rest pose position - tell me you have a rest pose position set a sub 0 or 0 - and then go through all the bones and reset then using r key.

One of these solutions SHOULD be the culprit. Lets see how/if that works and please let me know what fixed it.

I haver another issue with weight normalization I have yet to sort out but I have been encountering lots of stuff like this too along the way.

No actually a completely different situation. I still have to work with normalization off. I guess I really don't need it anyway but it sure is strange.

Edit:

HAA!! Problem solved!

I thought wait a minute, did I check this all out before for the normalization problem?

nope.

Normalization works now. Must have been a stray map. I love it when I realize I was just a moron and I realize aonce again that :lightwave

I figured it had to be something wrong with your maps. At least you found it :)
