Converting the Parallel Dongle to USB

Does anyone know how to convert the Parallel LW Dongle to USB? Will a parallel to USB cable work? :newhere:

I exchanged mine with Newtek, for a small fee. You'll have to reregister any plugins you bought with the new dongle number. Use Newtek receit as proof of exchange.

Just contact Newtek. If you are upgrading to LW9 be sure to do it now since it is free, otherwise there will be a fee to swap the parallel to USB dongle.

As far as just using a parallel to USB cord, I don't think it works. I seem to recall someone on these boards tried it and spent a lot of money and restocking fees in the process.

Thanks all. I have the 6.5 version which Netwtek doesn't upgrade on the dongle unless I upgrade to a version 7. Since I use the software sparingly, mainly for product design and conceptualizing, upgrading isn't that cost effective right now. I had hope that someone would know what pins the dongle actually uses so I could manufacture the dongle to usb adapter .
